Regarding Mainboard Replacement for HPE SimpliVity 380 Gen10
Please backup the license of ilo, server SN and PN,and make necessary modifications after replacing the motherboard
In addition, the BIOS needs to be modified accordingto the following settings
Please ensurebelow settings are made in the BIOS for HPE SimpliVityDL380 Gen10 Server.
1. Power on the server. During the POST Press F9 for theserver to boot to BIOS (System Utilities).
2. Select System Configuration menu.
3. Select BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) menu.

4. Select Workload Profile.
- Set Workload Profile to Custom from the drop down menu.
5. Select SystemOptions
- Select USB Options > Set Internal SD Card Slot to Disabled. Press ESC key to go to the System Options menu.
- Select Boot Time Optimization > UEFI POST Discovery Mode to Force Full Discovery. Press ESC key to go to the System Options menu.
- Select Server Availability > Power-On Delay to No Delay. Press ESC key to go to the System Options menu.
- Select Server Asset Information > Custom Post Message > Type SimpliVity 380 Gen10 in the box. Press ESC key to go to the System Options menu.

6. Select Boot Options
- Select Boot Order Policy to Attempt Boot Order Once.
- Select UEFI Boot Settings > UEFI Boot Order as follows:
- Slot 3: HPE Smart Array E208i-p SR Gen10
- Generic USB Boot
Press ESC keythrice to go back to the BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) menu
7. Select Network Options > Network Boot Options
- Network Boot Retry Support to Disabled.
- Embedded LOM 1 Port 1 to Disable.
- Embedded FlexibleLOM 1 Port 1 to Disable.
Press ESC keytwice to go back to the BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) menu
8. Select Storage Options
- Select NVME Express Options > Embedded NVME Express Option ROM to Disabled.
Press ESC keytwice to go back to the BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) menu
9. Power and Performance Options
- Set Power Regulator to Static_High_Performance_Mode.
- Set Minimum_Processor_Idle_Power_Core_C-State to No_C-states.
- Set Minimum_Processor_Idle_Power_Package_C-State to No_Package_State.
- Set Energy/Performance_Bias to Maximum_Performance.
- Set Collaborative_Power_Control to Disabled.
- Set NUMA_Group_Size_Optimization to Clustered.
- Set Uncore_Frequency_Scaling to Maximum.
- Set Sub-NUMA_Clustering to Disabled.
- Set Energy_Efficient_Turbo to Disabled.
- Set Intel UPI Options > Intel UPI Link Power Management to Disabled.
Press ESC keyonce to go back to the Power and Performance Options menu
k. Select Advanced Power Options > RedundantPower Supply Mod to High Efficiency Mode (Auto).
Press ESC key twice to go back to the BIOS/Platform Configuration(RBSU) menu
10.Advanced Options
- Set Fan and Thermal Options > Thermal Configuration to Increased Cooling.
Press ESC keytwice to go back to the BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) menu
11.Select Virtualization Options:
- Set Virtualization Technology to Enabled.
- Set Intel (R) VT-d to Enabled.
- Set SR-IOV to Enabled.
Press ESC keythrice to go back to the BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) menu
12. SelectEmbedded LOM Port
- Select Embedded LOM 1 Port 1 to Port 4 one by one and set the settings as HPE Ethernet 1Gb 4-port 331i Adapter -NIC > MBA Configuration Menu > Legacy Boot Protocol to Disabled or None.
13. Press F12 to Saveand Exit.
